Drying up one basement after another in Central Iowa!
Our process hasn’t changed much in 60 years, a true testament to what separates us from the competition. At American Perfection Basement Waterproofing, we start by jackhammering and digging a trench around the perimeter of your basement. What makes our system more effective than others is the type of trench we install. Installing a nice, deep trench that flows downhill towards the sump pump. Digging a deeper trench allows us to lay our tile below the footing of your house, getting a jump on the water table before it builds up beneath your basement floor. Once the trench is dug, we will drill holes into the bottom cell of concrete block walls to drain the wall water. We then place a three-inch perforated drain tile in the trench, backfilling it with large three-inch river rock. Our patented Scubaguard is then set on the rock, covering the holes we drill and catching any wall water that still might find its way down your wall, and diverting it to our trench. Once everything is set in place, we concrete it all in place and you will never have to deal with water again.
